BMW Club Wheatbelt Grand Tour
Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st Oct 2021
Welcome to the Grand Tour of the Southern Wheatbelt. An enjoyable weekend away
travelling along twisty country roads, and back in time visiting Wagin's Historical Village and
Collie's Steam Railway Precinct.
The tour itinerary includes:
• Lunch at the quaint Quindanning lnne,
• Visiting Wagin's Historic Village,
• Dinner at the refurbished Palace Hotel,
• Overnight at the comfortable Wagin Motel,
• Seeing Wagin's impressive 10m tall Giant Ram,
• Shopping at Collie's chintzy Goods Shed market,
• Inspecting powerful steam locomotives, and
• Visiting the fascinating Coalfields Museum.
We will see of some of the prettiest parts of inland Western Australia and gain insights into lives of farming pioneers and the early days of industrial development of the state. There will be time for a bit of shopping, sharing stories, and socialising over a drink or two, apart from two days of fun driving your BMs.
The tour will depart from BP Truckstop, Kwinana Freeway Southbound, near Leary Road, Baldivis 9:30 am Saturday 30th Oct and return to Perth around 4:30 pm on Sunday 31st Oct.
Overnight accommodation for two in a modern, double or twin en-suite, motel unit at the Wagin Motel will cost $130.00.
The three-course dinner in the refurbished Palace Hotel Dining Room will cost $40.00 per person, which is already included in the base cost of the tour. (Meal orders are taken now to assist the Palace Hotel with its planning.)
Entry and afternoon tea at Wagin’s charming Historic Village (normally $12 per
person) will be at the Club's expense. Full information will be emailed to participants.
Registration is now enabled and the booked accommodation can hold 16 couples (members and partners). We will hold a waitlist for numbers beyond that.
Please note that, once you have registered with us, you should immediately ring the Wagin Motel on 08 9861 1888 and confirm your accommodation there if you plan to stay there, as space is limited.
Please also note that your Partner needs to be registered as a Guest during the Registration process in order for their orders and requirements to be counted.
