BMW Car Club members have been invited to join fellow like minded motoring enthusiasts for a Classic Car Midweek Run. The runs occur on a Thursday each month between March and November and have operated for many years. The format is that cars assemble at the starting point, set off together and finish for lunch at a country hotel with ample parking. Total run time is usually around two hours driving time plus 30 minutes mid way toilet/pit stop. Directions are given by way of a line diagram and should be uncomplicated enough to allow for a driver to manage without a navigator. A simple questionnaire is part of the run and the entry fee of $2 per head is split amongst the top three winners of the questionnaire. The run is subject to weather and the decision to go ahead is made on the Monday prior to the Thursday run date.
The weather forecast looks good and this month's Classic Car Run has been confirmed for this Thursday 13th November.
Meet behind The Mundaring Hotel, in Jacoby Street, Mundaring at 10:00 am for a 10.30 am start.
The cost is $2 per person that goes to the winners of a quiz question.
See you there.......

Our traditional Club Show'N'Shine is held near the banks of the Swan as a car display and club picnic, but this year we're moving from Peppermint Grove to Stirling Gardens in Guildford, where we'll be holding it in conjunction with the Guildford Sunday Markets, and it will be more of a morning event, finishing by 2.00 pm. Your classic and special edition cars will still be most welcome, in fact, they will be in demand. Who doesn't like going to the markets on Sunday morning?
This year, there is no concours d'elegance element to our day and there will be no judging and awarding of points for the best in class - it's just a display of members' BMWs in their best presentable condition. But it's even more important that your BM is looking its best, as we are on display in direct (friendly) competition with our colleagues from the Jaguar Club of WA.
We will be at the eastern end of the square (Meadow Street end) while the Jags will be at the western end, with the Markets keeping us apart. Please try and arrive for marshalling into our display area between 8.00 and 8.30 am, is it will get very congested as the Market stall-holders prepare for their 9.00 am opening.
It's still a picnic event so bring your own picnic goodies or use the nearby cafes and coffee shops across the road as back-up for a picnic under the shade of the trees in the park. The Markets are a great attraction in themselves and the time there will fly by but we understand that an orderly and managed earlier departure of cars will be possible.
The slide show on the Home Page shows some of the fine machinery we displayed last year. Yours could be among them this year.
Please Register for the event if you are attending and bringing your BMW to display. if we know you're bringing the (BMW) love of your life with you, we can make sure you get the best display spot.
A Monthly event for Perth Car and Bike Collectors & Enthusiasts in the lush grounds of UWA, with proceeds going to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Cars $10, Bikes $5, Spectators free.
If you've got a nice BMW, this is where you can show it off and admire some other fine machinery at the same time.
